PARKVILLE HOTEL WEDDING

As a Scotland wedding photographer I am lucky to get to photograph weddings all over Scotland and the UK and this was one of the most enjoyable weddings I have photographed, from start to finish Jaime, Lee and their family and friends were very welcoming and it was pleasure photographing their big day.

I arrived at Jaime’s mums house where Jaime and her bridesmaids were “almost ready” just the all important wedding dress to go on and the finishing touches to make-up and hair. Typical Scottish weather scrapped the initial plans for photos outside the house as the heavens literally opened up as soon as Jaime stepped out the house. Even with a bit of rain everyone was still in full spirits.

Off to the venue for the ceremony and reception, thankfully by the time we got there the rain had stopped. The venue they chose was the Parkville Hotel in Lanarkshire, ideal location as it was just 10 mins away from Jaime’s mums house.

It was a lovely humanist wedding ceremony at Parkville Hotel, that had lots of smiles and the odd cheer (mostly from Jaime).  After the ceremony I managed to whisk the newly weds away for a few photos close by before the rain started again.

There was a noticeable absent from the big day as Jaime’s father unfortunately passed away, but they had a fitting tribute to him as he still had his seat at the top table with his sporran and drink. I have no doubt he would have been looking down with a lot of pride.

Before the meal we had speeches, as well as the traditional best man and groom speech, Jaime’s sister was up first with a speech that had a lot of laughter.

The magic dance floor was laid and it wasn’t long until the evening guests arrived and the dance floor was even busy before the first dance even started. As you can imagine with a start like that there were lots of smiling and laughter throughout the evening as well as a packed dance floor.

There’s nothing better as a Scotland wedding photographer spending the day photographing people really enjoying enjoying themselves. I am so happy to have been a part of your day.

I hope you enjoy looking through these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them, see below small selection from the day:
