Norton House Hotel Wedding
As a regular Norton House Hotel wedding photographer, I love the way you can create such beautiful couple pictures amongst the gardens and woodland within the Hotel grounds. This 1840 hotel is a stunning romantic Scottish wedding venue and with it being only 5 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and 20 minutes from the city centre it is in an ideal location.
Napa and Steven first met in Thailand and it was there that they got married at the start of this year. As there were a lot of friends and families that couldn’t make the Thailand ceremony they decided to have a second ceremony here in Scotland, so they would welcome Napa to Scotland in style. It was lovely to see that a lot of Napa’s family managed to make it over to Scotland for the ceremony much to the delight of the newly weds.
It was a typical wet Scottish day with lots of rain and wind but we managed to get a short break in the weather and got some photos around the beautiful Norton House Hotel grounds before the heavens opened up and down came the rain again.
After the photos the happy couple spent a lot of time with family and friends and it was a good chance for Napa to meet all of her new Scottish family, and they decided a receiving line was a great way to meet and greet everyone.
Shortly afterwards Napa and Steven cut the wedding cake and then this was followed by the speeches, the best of the speeches came last with the best man telling very funny stories about Steven in his younger days, at times they were borderline x-rated, but it had lots of laughter from family and friends.
