Edinburgh Wedding Anniversary

40th Wedding Anniversary

I had such a fun day shooting Cathy and Stewarts 40th weddings anniversary, even after 40 years of marriage, they are still in love as much as they were when they first met. It was a beautiful summers day with not even a cloud in the sky, a rare thing living in Scotland. As an Edinburgh wedding photographer, I love taking photographs around my city.

Cathy and Stewart were looking to have photos together at their favourite locations around Edinburgh. We started off at South Queensferry where we took photos beside the iconic Forth Rail Bridge and Forth Road Bridge, this is a special place where Cathy and Stewart love visiting. Later we progressed onto Cramond which is another place that is close to their hearts as they used to go there when they first met.

After Cramond we headed up the Firth of Forth to the coastal suburb of Portobello, with 2 miles of golden sands it was a perfect location to take photos on the beach and reminded them of their regular romantic walks along the promenade. We then finished the day in central Edinburgh at Carlton Hill, with its grassy slopes and panoramic views of the city, including Edinburgh Castle and a great view North of the ruddy-coloured cliffs of Salisbury Crags at Arthur’s Seat it was an ideal location to finish off with some silhouettes with the sun was coming to down.

I loved spending the day with the two “love birds”,  below are my favourite selection of photos from the day, hope you enjoy them.
